Welcome to MockAPI Dog ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using mockapi.dog (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Description of Service

MockAPI Dog provides a free tool for creating temporary mock REST and LLM API endpoints. No account or signup is required. Endpoints are created on-demand and are subject to automatic expiration and deletion.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose.
Upload, store, or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
Attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure (e.g., denial-of-service attacks, excessive automated requests).
Use the Service to host production or live-traffic APIs. The Service is intended for development, testing, and prototyping only.
Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service in an automated fashion beyond normal usage.
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

4. Mock Endpoint Data

All mock endpoints and their associated JSON payloads are temporary. We reserve the right to delete any endpoint data at any time without notice. You should not rely on the Service for persistent data storage. Endpoints are automatically deleted after their configured expiration period.

5. Rate Limits & Fair Usage

We may impose rate limits or usage restrictions to ensure fair access for all users. Excessive or abusive usage may result in temporary or permanent suspension of access without prior notice.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and code comprising the Service (excluding user-provided mock data) are the property of MockAPI Dog and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MockAPI Dog and its maintainers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for any reason including but not limited to a violation of these Terms of Use.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Use at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
